Club Welfare Officers

The Rozel GS United Academy has a dedicated Welfare Officer who is the first contact point for any player, parent, guardian or member who has concerns regarding issues related to the school.

The Welfare Officer also ensures that all adult members working with youth players are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check to guarantee the suitability of those working with under 18 year olds.

Our current Welfare Officers are Damon O'Driscoll, Clare Planner and Aaron Travers

Damon can be contacted by telephone on 07797 733138, Clare on 07797 811725 and Aaron on 07797 749716 or either Welfare Officer via the Contact Welfare Officer Form above.

The Rozel GS United Academy primary responsibility is the health and safety of the children. The Rozel GS United Academy has in place security and safety checks to ensure that your child is protected from any possible dangers or hazards.

Before each and every training session, coaches will:-

  • Check the playing area and facilities for actual or potential hazards.

  • Check the register of participants has been maintained.

  • Make it known to players and parents who the First Aider is at each training session and event.

Our Club will also ensure that each new introduction to Rozel Rovers Football Club completes our "Online Player Profile & Parental Consents form' that is inclusive of emergency contacts and a brief history of the players injuries. This is required to be updated at the beginning of every new season.

All coaching staff have a current First Aid Certificate, completed a Criminal Background Check  and will have attended and completed The Football Associations Child Protection and best practice workshop.
